MOMMA CANDY of the Week!
Jewelry, Love, and Shock Top
It's Momma Candy of the week time! And this week has been better than the previous so it wasn't too difficult for me to seek out the candy. (That's code for the good stuff.)
{NEW VISITORS}
Welcome to my little spot! Grab a glass of vino/beer/cocktail/coffee/sippy cup/zoloft and stay a while. I'm excited to get to know you! That's been the funnest part about starting this blog - relating.
{GIVEAWAYS!}
My very first giveaway with Whole Soul Jewelry was so much fun! I love the idea of promoting small businesses or pimping businesses I like using this medium. And I also love a winner.
So thank you to everyone who participated! And if you didn't win, don't worry! I'm planning another giveaway with Whole Soul Jewelry coming up soon so keep your eyes open.
In the meantime, if you're itching for a giveaway, I've got a good one! How does $200 to Tiffany & Co. sound? Not too shabby! I'm linking up with Ashlee at ABpetite and Glam Hungry Mom, as well as a fabulous group of bloggers to offer this awesome giveaway! So go enter since I can't.
{LOVE DAY}
I know there are plenty of people out there who hate Valentine's Day or go on about how corporate it is and how it's a Hallmark holiday, it's awful, you should show your love year round, blah blah blah. And to tell you the truth, Valentine's Day has been hit and miss for me. That being said, who cares? Valentine's Day is here to stay so you can either protest and look like a jerk or give in and spread the love!
So I baked sweet things full of calories for me my family. It literally smelled like sugar in my kitchen all day.
And the husband brought it. He's cool like that.
He added all my favorite candies. Maybe he likes me a little?
I got him a six pack of Shock Top because I'm wife of the year.
And I have to give it to my parents because my Valentines memories always include special Valentines from my mom or gifts from my dad. I try to do that for my kids, too. I think it's fun to make it familyish.
Sugar cookies from Mom.
{KINESIO TAPE VALENTINE}
My four year old son has a variety of weekly therapies and his physical therapist came over today and helped him and his sister make me a special Valentine.
It's made with kinesio tape! Most of you won't know what this is unless you're into physical therapy, sports, or Crossfit. But it's the most appropriate kind of tape to use.
Best kid valentine ever.
Momma Candy Bonus: Since we're talking about therapy, my kid rocked speech therapy today. It made this watery-eyed-happy-teared Momma's day. Just had to brag a little.
{SHOCK TOP PART DEUX}
Remember the Valentines gift for my husband that I mentioned above? I had two of them tonight.
And it was grand.
This one is empty. I hear they come in apple. I'm on it.
{RIHANNA'S NEW SONG}
It's called Stay and I seriously listen to this song five times in a row in one sitting. Back to back. Super depressed much? Tumultuous relationship, Shauna? No. Not at all. I just dig the song. And when I like a song, I play it until I can't handle it anymore. Then I take a break. And then I play it some more.
(FYI: I'm playing it right now. For the second time.)
I hope everyone has a wonderful, love-filled weekend!
What were your highlights of the week?

You're welcome! Yes, it was a very creative way to incorporate my favorite candy and flowers! Yum!
DeleteThanks for visiting!
I love that you and Hubby found ways to celebrate without going over the top! My husband was out of town for Valentine's, so he sent me flowers at work, which he NEVER does! I was very surprised! But now it means I have to have something waiting for him when he gets home! I'm thinking me with a ribbon and nothing else....
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday Sharefest!
What an awesome idea! But include beer, too, if he's a beer man! Have fun!
